Looking back at March, it feels like both a long and short month. Some events feel like they happened ages ago, while others seem like they just took place yesterday. It was a month filled with exciting activities, both work-related and personal.
The month kicked off with a Nikon Z8 autofocus system workshop. I picked up some fantastic tips and tricks on autofocusing, and I have to thank Gregory van Toor for the valuable insights that made a real difference to my work.
Later, I caught up with Tom Uyterspot for a casual coffee and conversation about street photography. It was a relaxed and enjoyable chat, and it’s something I definitely plan to do more often.
Work-wise, March was packed. I conducted smartphone photography workshops at Paintfactory in Bruges and Premium Sound Solutions in Dendermonde, helping participants improve their mobile photography skills. I also traveled across Belgium for corporate portrait sessions, visiting cities like Leuven, Liege, Waterloo, and Knokke. Interestingly, all of my events this month took place within a 500-meter radius in Brussels!
In addition to the workshops, I had the chance to record a podcast episode with Nina Welch-Kling. While the episode won’t be published until May, it’s something I’m really looking forward to. On top of that, I hit a personal milestone of reaching over 1000 plays on my podcast on Spotify. That’s definitely something to celebrate!
When I wasn’t busy with work, I spent time walking through Brussels, Antwerp, and Leuven, capturing street photos. I also photographed the 30th anniversary celebration of Scaldis, snapping some memorable moments.
