February, despite being the shortest month of the year, seemed to drag on. It was filled with various work projects, events, and other activities, keeping me busy throughout. Here’s a look at what kept me occupied this month.

One of the highlights of my work in February was the chance to visit some incredible locations. I had the privilege of photographing events at two of Belgium’s most iconic architectural landmarks: the Port Authority building in Antwerp and the Atomium in Brussels. Both provided a stunning backdrop for my work.

Additionally, I covered some exciting events, including one at a Battle Kart venue in Brussels (yes, I even took a lap myself) and another in Amsterdam. I booked a hotel for the Amsterdam event, which gave me the perfect excuse for a short getaway. During my time there, I captured street photos around the city, checked out Saul Leiter’s exhibition at the Foam Museum, and visited the Huis van Marseille.

A few days later, I attended an event at De Donkere Kamer, where Harry Gruyaert and other photographers shared their insights through talks. It was there that I learned about Saul Leiter’s exhibition at Gallery Fifty One in Antwerp, which I made sure to visit. While at De Donkere Kamer, I also had the chance to witness a photo project pitch by Bram Penninckx, who will soon be joining me on the street photography podcast.

Speaking of the podcast, February saw me recording episodes with Matt Hall, Melik Alperen, Archie Worth, and Bram Penninckx—lots of fantastic conversations ahead!

In addition to event photography, I spent time working on several portrait shoots for clients. One of the shoots took place in Ghent, where I photographed a small team of three people using only natural light. For larger teams, I set up a studio at their offices, which allowed me to capture portraits of over 77 individuals.

February also included some fun personal moments: I visited a second-hand market with friends, took part in a rage room experience for a friend’s birthday, hunted for books at a stock sale, and captured photos of a friend’s newborn son.

And, of course, there was plenty of street photography, which remains one of my greatest passions.
